- Don’t forget to check your grammar and spelling
and avoid using clichés.
- Industry professionals receive an enormous amount of press
releases each week and have little patience with poorly written releases.
- Justify the importance
of the information you are conveying by sending releases announcing only current and
exciting news.
- Look at your favorite music or entertainment weekly; most likely
you’ll find a page of announcements about CD releases, tours, or label signings. How do
they compare with your release?
